ANGLO-COLONIAL NOTES.

(From Our Special Correspondent.) LONDON, December 81. The Bank of New Zealand figures largely in the registration deed of a concern called the Whimwell Copper Mines, Limited, which was registered recently with a capital of £150,000. The objects of the company, as scheduled by the promoters, are "to adopt an agreement made with, the Barak of New Zealand for the acquisition of certain mines, mining- rights, etc.; to develop and work the same; to acquire any other mines, mining rights, and other property in any part of the world, mineral' deposits, alluvial ground, etc.; to develop and turn to account the same; as miners, smelters and metallurgists, dealers m geld, silver, and other ores; to carry on any work of experiment or exploration; to employ, equip and despatch expeditions; as company promoters, bankers, financiers, and concessionaires; to undertake and transact all kinds of ao-encv and guarantee business; as fanners and graziers; to acquire and turn to account any patents, patent rights and inventions; to develop the resources of lands, estates, etc., by clearing, planting, etc.; to acquire and turn to account any real or personal property; to construct and maintain rail and tram loads, wharves, docks, piers, warehouses. and other buildings, telegraph and telephone systems, as producers and suppliers of gas and electricity ior the purposes of light, heat, or power; to win, get, prepare for marlco., metals and mineral substances ot every description; to lay out land for building purposes; as shippers and shipowners, engineers, and metal founders, carriers by land and water. They have given themselves plenty of Bc'opel Among ihe signatories we. find the names of Mr C. G. Tegetmeier, Mr G. L. Johnstone. Mr A. Kay. and Mr C. J. O. Fraser, and the first directors, of whom there must be at least two, and not more than five, are to be C. G. Tegetmeier. O. J. Parker, W Hume, G. L. Johnstone, and another to be appointed by the last two. C G Tegetmeier is the nominee ot the Bank of New Zealand, but he is not to act until after payment of the purchase price.
