SAWMILLERS DISPUTE.

The award of the Conciliation Board in the sawuilllei'B" dispute wus amiouuced yesterday. The principal recommendations are as follow:—That the week whull consist of 46 uoui's: that for nieti working planing machines the minimum wage shall be Sl'2 15/ per week; meu working circular saws, £2 S/; engine-drivers, driving engines over -five horse-power, £."<; under live horsepower, i- 10/; yurdsuioii, solely employed In delivering timber, £•'!: minimum wage of unskilled workers' iv other capacities, £2 5/; casual labour, S/6 per day. The Board makes the usual recommendations regarding payment of overtime and holidays, nud on the question of apprentices decides that each machinist shall be allowed one boy, whose wages shall commence at 12/0 per week, with such gradual incroase us shall be agreed upon.
