MINERS' WAGES.
A CASE FOR THE CONCILIATION
BOARD

WAIHI, this day,
At a meeting of the Waihi branch of the Thames Miners' Union on baturdav night it was resolved that steps be taken to cite the Waihi Union G.M. Co before tbe Conciliation Board with regard to wages and hours of shifts, work in wet shafts, etc. It was stated that all produce had risen everywhere, but wages remained the same. This meeting was the outcome of a'dispute with the Union. Company regarding scale of pay in wet shafts and-length of shifts. A scale of wages was drawn up and passed.
