WAIHI IMPROVEMENTS.

(By Telegraph.-Own Correspondent.)

W TAIHT, Monday

Members of the County Council inspected Waihi this afternoon. A deputation asked if the Council would remove the hill at the end of the main street, opposite Filling's Hotel. The Councillors replied that they would if the owners of property thereon were unanimous and either lowered the present buildings or built underneath at their own expense. There is some difficulty owing to property holders not being unanimous. Ihe inn m question spoils the town and reduces the value of property.
