CRICKET.

The Management Committee of the Auckland Cricket Association met last evening at the Sports' Club, Mr F. J. Ohlson in the chair. The'secretary was instructed to ask the N.Z. Cricket Council as to the date of the proposed North and South Island match, and to inform the Council of the dates of the Auckland representatives' proposed tour. It was decided to suspend all matches in the first grade competition from December 15th until the return of the representative team. The committee were informed that Mr F. J. Ohlson had been elected captain of the team. In reply to a telegram from the Wellington Association requesting that the Auckland-Wellington match be played on January 4, 5 and 7, or 5, 7 and 8, It was decided that the Auckland Association must adhere to the original dates, owing to the want of sea communication.
