o Yesterday afternoon a Sale of .Voi'l. was opened at the Oddfellows' Hall,! Parnell, in connection with the Knox Church. There was a large atte-.d: , ance, and the ladies at the stalls did, good business during the afternoon!; and evening. The stalls were well-:, , stocked and were prettily decorated. ' The following are the ladies in charge:—The fancy work stall, _fi"S^ Still.veil and the Misses Mueller; toy ' stall, Misses Gilmour and Hutton, ami Moore; guild stall, childr.n's elotliin?, l Mesdames Mueller and Trimble, and - Misses Bell; organ stall, Mrs Maxwell and Miss Maxwell; flower stall, -to, 1 Hamlin and Miss Scott; confectionery,:, i stall, Miss Ellie Bell and Miss Alice * Kelly; refreshment stall. Mesdames 14 Haslett, Ross, Davidson, and Misses t Haslett and Ross; Christmas tree, in chai'ge of Mrs Martin and Miss Oil- - more. During the evening Midil'" Bros.' band played musical selections*.
