PROPERTY SALES.
An important sale of city and,suburban properties was held to-day by Mr. J. .Thornes, auctioneer. There was a large attendance of bidders, and good prices were realised. Tite following were the results of the sale:
Karangahape Road--Two shops ;>,nd dwelling-houses on allotment having .40 feet of frontage by 75 feet 6 inches deep. £2200; • bidding started at £1500. ■■"-
Nelson-street, close to ■Customsstreet* large allotment, 118 ft of frontage to. kelson-street., by 192 ft, with the two dwelling houses thereon, £1575; bidding started at £1000. Khyber Pass Road—Large block of building land, 1 acre 2 roods 33 perches, with a frontage of 198 ft to Khyber Pass Road, by 375 ft, with three cottages thereon, sold for £1125; bidding started at £500. Khyber Pass Road—Six acres of around, with SOGft frontage, to Khyber Pass, sold for £2100; bidding started at £1500. Franklin Road—Corner building section, with 70ft frontage to Franklin Road and 105 ft to Wellingtonstreet; sold for £400. Other sales effected were: lour acres 3r 35 p of land at Howick, £1JO; lr 24p of land at Driiry, £4 15/; 00 acres at Pukeatuo, 3/15 per acre; 00 acres at Hunua, 2/ per acre; 00 acres at Owhiwha, Whangnrei, 4/0 per acre.
