Four hundred Afrikander Bond delegates, many of the Dutch clergy, and members of Parliament, attend the congress at Worcester, Cape Colony. Detachments of Canadian and Australian Artillery, with two Maxims, and the New South Wales Lancers, are encamped on the slopes overlooking Worcester.
A cricket match between the Australians and a local team -^as postponed, and the men are unallowed to enter the town.
Dutch residents are incensed at the British precautions, esjDecially the guns commanding the meeting place of the forthcoming congress.
