PEOPOSED PEEPAEATIONS FOE INVASION OF ENGLAND.
PAEIS, December 5. In a debate in the Senate on.the navy vote, General Mercier wildly attacked the British Army and Navy, and, amid protests, moved that it be an urgent instruction to the French Government to prepare a scheme of rapid - embarkation and disembarkation. He added fhat if she went to Avar with Britain, France must invade that country.
The President of the Senate declared that revolution only would follow the proposed interpellation.
M. Lanessan, Minister of Marine, declared, the Government would never for an instant entertain it.
The announcement was received with cheers.
The authorities of French Eiviera are delighted that Queen \~ietoria will return to Cirmiez in the spring if nothing unforeseen occurs meanwhile.
