DARNELL DRAINAGE.
(To the Editor.)
Sir,— By an advertisement appearing iv your Saturday's issue the Council of the above borough are urging householders to connect with their partly completed drains ago system, doubtless in view of- the coining summer heat. I would, however, respectfully beg to call their attention to the accumulated filth at the bottom of HoM son's Bay Road, where the new drain at; present -terminates,, and advise that 110 more drains be connected until the extension is completed, taking the sewage direct* ly into the tido. The above spot is a favourite resort for all the children (aud adults as well) of the surrounding neighbourhood-, arid in its present condition must of necessity be highly dangerous.—Yours, etc.,?,, RATEPAYER
