SUCCESSION DUTIES.
A TREASURY WINDFALL,
LONDON, December 4.
The Privy Council dismissed an appeal lodged by the Jewish Colonisation Association against the payment of succession duty on considerable sums of money which were left the Association by Baron Hirsch and others. The Imperial Treasury benefits by the decision to the extent of about a million and a quarter pounds.
