Wind—Strong from between north east, north, and west at all places north of East Cape, Taupo, and Raglan; gale from between north west and south west after 20 hours, thence to Napier; gale from between north east, north, and west thence southward to Queenstown and Oamaru^ and from between north west and south west at all other places. Barometer—Fall everywhere. Sea—Heavy on all western coast and on east coast south of Castlepoint, moderate everywhere else. ■ , Tides—High on all western coast, anu on east coast south of Castlepoint; moderate in all other parts. Rain is probable at all places southward of Napier and New i'lymouth after from 12 to 20. hours. , , Warning signals for northerly gae are exhibited at Capes Campbell, Foulwind, and Farewell Salt. Synopsis of the last 24 hours-Decreas-ing pressure everywhere. The weather has been fine northward of Queenstown and Timaru, but cloudy and showery during the night from thence southwards Low pressure from the west will pass east of the meridian of the South Cape early to-morrow. Pressure is also low in the Tasman Sea, travelling to the B.E.
