The first wool sale of the season took place to-day. Only a fair catalogue; was submitted, growers preferring: to ship direct to London. Competition early In the sale was brisk, anil prices for follmongery lots were well maintained on comparison with last season's prices. Uncolns coarse find pure crossbred showed a depreciation of from "0 to -10 per cent. Coarse and fine dingy wool had a drop of about 25 per cent.
