Business was' again,, brisk to-day on the Exchange, Waihi stocks meeting with keen inquiry, free sales being made of Consolidateds at prices ranging'from 2/3 to 2/7. Waihi Eftendedschanged hands at 4/6, and Waihi shares were still asked for at £13. Talisman Consolidated advanced a little, being sold" at 21/ and 21/0, and Konrata Reefs sold at 2/5. Sales were also- reported.in Waitekauris .at 35/, and Barrier .Keel's at 12/6. In Thames lines, Queens, Caledonians, and May Queen Extendeds were all wanted at Bd, and Kapowais sold at 9d. Standard stocks also had strong demand. South British buyers advanced to 74/, and N.Z. Accidents to 26/; Auckland Gas shares aiso firmed, buyers offering £13 15/ and £11 for old and new issue/ Buyers came in for N.Z. Shipping at £5 5/, but no sellers quoted. Other lines were unaltered.
