CAPETOWN, February 21

The Westralian contingent reconfnoitring- eastwards of Naauwpoort under Captain Moore were engaged with the enemy on Tuesday.

Only one was wounded owing to the clever manner in which the detachment made use of all available cover.

Two hundred Australians under Captain Legge, of the New South Wales Infantry, Capt. Howland of the South Australian Mounted Infantry, and Captain McLeish of the Victorian Mounted Rifles, with two guns, were fighting all day on Tuesday, and Repelled the attack on* Naauwpoort. They shelled the Boers out of the neighbouring kopjes.
