Wind: Gale from between north-east and north and west at all places northward or Kaikoiira and Hokitika; from -between Borrh' and west and south-west elsewhere. ■ Earo_leter:; Fall everywhere. Sea- HeaW on'all Western Coast, also on East Coast north of East Cape, aud between Castlepoint and Lyttelton. Tides: Highon East Coast _.orth of Last Cape and on West Coast north of Cane Egniont and south of Cape Farewell, good southward of Castlepoint, but moderate between Cape Egmoiit, Foxton, Napier, and East Cape. _ _, Rain is to be expected in all parts of^the. eountrv, and heavy northward of Last Cape, Tiiupo, and New Plymouth. Synopsis of the last 48 hours: Slightly increased pressure north of Napier and New Plvmouth t and slowly decreasing pressure elsewhere. • Low pressure from the west will-pass eastward of the meridian of South Cape about midnight, and is-decreasing in energy. . Low pressure from the north-west is in ,about lat. 37 south, long. 105 east, travelling south-east.
