THE CLANSMAN DELAYED.

RUSSELL, this day. The Clansman left here at six o'clock last night, but returned at nine o'clock, being unable to get round the Cape. Captain Farquhar states it was blowing, with hurricane force from E.S.E., with a tremendously heavy sea. He had three men at the wheel, but was unable to keep the vessel on her course. The Clans- j man left here again at six o'clock this morning. Her passengers are Mrs Birtson, Messrs Birton, Kingmore, Mulrchin, Kemp, Hansen, Dawson, j and two steerage.
