COLORADO CLAIM (MERCURY BAY).
The manager reports that the reef in this mine has been discovered in the western drive at a distance of 175 ieet in, and' the backs available are "5 feet. The reef prospects well all pver for gold, and is about five feet in thicktaess. On the surface the reef in the trenches is eight feet wide in some parts, and all the stone gives prospects. No. 1 drive on one side of the spur gives about 100 feet of backs, and good gold is showing in the reef. About 100 tons of payable ore are in tne paddock. -
