OHINEMURI HOSPITAL.
At a meeting of the County Council today Councillor McLelland introduced the subject of the Ohinemuri Hospital, and asked if the Council could not prevail upon the Thames and Ohinemuri people to unite and erect one central hospital for the two mining districts. He thought this
much preferable to having several hospitals. Councillor Moore concurred. The chairman, Mr Barry, thought the distance between the two mining districts too great for such a scheme. Councillor McAndrew agreed, and said his impression •was that such a proposition -would not be entertained by the Thamesites. The matter then dropped.
