Nonpareil.—The drive on the Wade reef is, at present in decomposed country, consequently the leader has not looked quite" so well during the past week. Gold has, however, been seen a few feet from the face. The manager is convinced that when good country is again met With it will, carry good grade ore. In the fourth stope the leader is not producing the same amount of picked stone as in the.previous one. Still.: nice dabs of gold are seen and the manager thinks the. ore coining to hand should be of a payable character. The tributers are not at present getting any picked stone but. they still see a little:gold in the ore. - • .• .
Welcome Find. —A distance of 27 feet has been driven south-west on the Just-in-Tirae No. 1 lode. "The lode is strong and most promising., At No. 1 level the rise is up 58 feet. Another eight feet will reach the SO foot level., "Both the stone and'the country here look' as well as usual for gold. The 1 Olbs of gold-bearing stone obtained from the New Golconda mine ,came from near the north boundary of the claim and from a small northerly leader bii which they drove and stoped'Some time ago. . ! Great Mercury.—The Just-in-Time reef is without change. . Murphy's 'leader at No. 2 level is five inches wide, and gives its usual prospects in the dish.; The footwall reef looks very promising. The damage to the dam has been repaired.
