(By Telegraph —Press Association.)
WELLINGTON, Sunday.
The following representative team was picked last night for the Northern tolir: —Full-back, Howe; threequarters, Boss, Hawke, and Matson; fiveeighths. McGnire; half, Woods; wing forwards, J. Kelly and C. Campbell (captain); forwards, W. Spencer, J. Spencer, Gallagher, Soffe, MeAnally, Man son, and Hardham. Emergencies; Back, Warwick; forwards, Morton and O'Brien The team leaves on Mondayweek, and plays Taranaki, Auckland and Napier. - The claims of several prominent players were not. considered as they could not obtain leave, and it is believed several of _ those already selected will not be able to get away, It is a good all-round team, the backs beino above Wellington's average, but the forwards, usually- Wellingtons strength, may prove a source of weakness. ■. ■■ :-.-\; -:"!■. ■ "'
