A San Francisco paper says: '" The disappearance of ' Aiperica' as the national air before the onward sweep of 'The StarSpangled Banner' is not to he regretted. The words of * America' are acceptable enough, but the air is that of the British national anthem, and when played by a United" States band is accepted by good Britons as a musical kowtow to the shrine of the Mother Country. There is no such misconception about the stirring strains of the 'Star-Spanjjled Banner,'.which are full of native fire and inspiration."
