The Minister of Defence lias written
to the Mayor of Auckland that the
Kcw Zealand Cross Jia.s recently been awarded to Mr 11, C. W. Wrigg, of Aaeklumi, but as that gentleman no
louirer belongs to the military forces
of ihe colony, the decoration cannot he awarded to him on a military parade a.s contemplated in the regulations governing Us presentation. ttJmter these circumstances the Minis-
