AUCKLAND INDUSTRIAL AND MINING EXHIBITION.
A meeting of the Executive Council of the Auckland Exhibition was held last evening to "receive the plans and specilicafcions of the builtlings as remitted fey the Building and Lighting Committee. After a short discussion the plans and specifications were adopted as presented, and a hearty vote of thanks.was passed to the Building Committee and to Mr de Monta!k for the excellence of the work. It was decided to advertise for tenders for the erection of the buildings at once, and also-for lighting the same. The recommendation of the Building and Lighting Committee-that a clerk of works should be appointed was deferred to a later stage, ft was reported that the applications for space Amounted to from 500 feet to 1,100 feet.daily, and consequently the demand for space w-rll shortly exceed the amount available.
