■ The half-yearly report of the Union Bank of Australia shows a profit of £62,000. The directors recommend that £24,000 be carried forward. The balance-sheet gives the. following particulars : — Deposits, £15,313,000; cash and securities, £5,894,000; advances and bills, £13,714,000.
