THE RIMUTAKA RAILWAY.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.)
WELLINGTON, this clay,
In connection with the agitation for deviation of the Rimutaka line the "Times" says a survey made along the line of the coach road shows that it will require a tunnel one mile and a half long, and will shorten the line seven miles. In addition to the saving of time to travellers, amounting to about an hour, the saving in working and maintaining the line will more than cover interest on the outlay.
