MASONIC
The annual installation of officers in Lodge St. Andrew, 418, S.C., took place in Princes-street Hall on Monday evening. There was a large attendance of members and visiting brethren, all the constitutions being represented. The R.W.M.-elect, Bro. J. W. Harrison, was duly installed iii the chair of King Solomon by Bro. Win. Caron, P.M., who performed the ceremony with ability and solemnity, ■ the presenting officers being Bro. Handley, P.M., and Bro. Tapper, K.W.M. The address to" the newly - installed master was delivered by Bro. C. J. Parr, P.M., while Bro. M. Bennett, P.M., and Bro. VVm. Anderson, D.P.G.M., addressed the wardens and brethren. The following officers were then invested :—Bro. Chas. F. Griffiths, I.P.M. ; Bro. C. J. Parr, DM. ; Bro. Gerhard Mueller, S.M. ; Bro. A: B. Wright, S.W. ; Bro. W. HaslanV, J.W. ; Bro. Win. Caron, Secretary ; Bro. Kobt, Farrell, Treasurer; Bro. H. Young, B.D. ; Bro. Camptpn, J.D. ; Bro. Tonge, Tyler. At the conclusion of the ceremony Bio. Parr, P.M., on behalf oi Lodge St. Andrew, presented the retiring R.W.M., Bro. C. F, Griffiths, with a handsome Past Master's jewel as a mark of the esteem of the brethren and of their appreciation of the manner in which Bro. Griffiths had filled the chair for the past year. The jewel was the work of Bro. A. Kohn and was a piece of line workmanship. Bro. Griffiths in accepting. the present thanked the brethren in a very feeling manner for their kindness. An enjoyable banquet concluded the evening with the singing of Auld Lang Syne..
