ASCENT OF TONGARIRO

A party of Hunterviile and Taupo people ascended' Tongariro last week, visiting Ketetahi cii route. They describe _ the scenery as very beautiful, and the views most extensive. On the summit they visited the red crater, and also the several coloured lakes. A good view was also obtained of Te Mare from above it. Photographs were taken, but the vents were qiiietTy steaming.
