SHEEP FAIR.

WELLINGTON, Tuesday.

The annual ram and ewe fair of the Wellington Agricultural and Pastoral Association was held to-day. The entries were nob nearly so numerous as at the last fair, and the attendance of buyers was also smaller. The bidding lacked spirit, a great many of the pens being passed in without eliciting a single bid. The sheep offered were 'principally Lincoiao, Leicesters, Romiiey Marsh, and a few Downs. The highest-price obtained was 11 guineas for a well-grown, four-tooth stud Lincoln, bred by Mr Reid, of Elderslie. Prices ranged for others from 1£ to 4£ guineas, the sale being dull and lacking animation.
