THE CASSELS PROCESS.
The Goklfields Committee have agreed, that as the Cassels Company have decided to accept £10,000 in lieu of £15,000 to report the Cyanide Process Gold Extraction Bill to the House, and have also amended the clause that a royalty shall be charged by the Government ranging from one and a-half to two per cent, in accordance with the grading of the ores. The Committee has also inserted a clause limitin" the amount of royalty to be 3 harged for arrears due to the Cassel Company to five per cent. AGREEMENT WITH TRIBUTERS. In the Mining Companies Act the Committee inserted an amendment, on the motion of the Hon. Mr Cadman to the effect that all agreements with a tnbuter must be in writing, and the stamp duty charged shall only be one shilling. Hie Bill Will be reported this afternoon.
