ORCHARD PESTS BILL WITHDRAWN.

The Secretary of the Birkenhead and Northcote Fruitgrowers' Association, who has lately been in busy communication with the North Island members and several Government Ministers, has received the following telegram from Mr J. Bollard, M.H.R. :—"Minister of Lands has withdrawn Orchard and Garden Pests Bill from Parliament in consequence of strong opj^osition from North island members and Fruitgrowers' Associations."
