The Premier, speaking at the opening of the new premises of the Commercial Union Assurance Company, said that the gold! export for the month of November was 85,9400z, being an increase of 2500z over last month, which was the highest previously recorded. The export for the first 11 months of the year exceeded 600,0000z, as against 281,2630z for the whole of last year. NONPAREIL. The crushing of 42 loads of quartz just completed returned 27ozs lOdwts of gold value about £70. The manager reports the Liverpool reef shows no improvement. A few colours of gold are occasionally seen but the dirt is of low grade. A rise has been commenced to see if the reef improves at the higher level. The Wade reef is divided at present and requires a lot of sorting. The stone shows a few colours of gold.
