The second day's racing of the Dunedin Jockey Club's Spring Meeting is proceed-

ing. St. Andrew's Handicap of 175sovs, 1J mile.—Mr G. G. Stead's Uniform (Derrett), 1 ; Epaulet (Brown), 2 ; Skirmisher (Holmes), 3. It was a fine finish. Won by a length. Time, 2mm llsec. Dividend, £1 14s. Epaulet led for a mile, the favourite always lying handy. At the half distance Derrett shook Uniform up, and drawing away he won comfortably by a little over a length. Of 61u investors on totalizators 327 were on the winner.

Criterion Stakes Handicap of lOOsovs; five furlongs.—Mr J. Brett's br c Nihilist, by Stephiak — Sincerity, 1 ; Cornea, 2. Time, lmin saec. Dividend, £1 6s. Won easily by half a-length. Selling Handicap.—Bisley, 1 ; Zephyr, 2 ; Chaos, 3. „ Won by a length and a half in lmin 33sec, Dividend, £8 ss. Red Lancer, Zetland, and Realistic were scratched.
