Tallow, jfeto 16s; rough fat, l&d lb; sheepskins at late values were from 2s 6d to 5s Sd; lambskins, Is 3d to Is 7d ; pelts, 9d to lid each; bags and dumps of wool numerous; fleece wool brought from s\d to 6fd ; locks and pieces, 2d to 4id lb. At Remuera on Thursday dairy cows in usual number sold more freely. Young cows at profit were from £4 12s 6d to £6 each. Store cattle, in moderate supply, were at yesterday's values. Calves in full number; young calves in demand, butchers' calves lower in price. Fat cattle in full supply; 220 yarded were steady in value throughout at last week's quotations, 16s to 18s the 1001b for light and medium weight steers; tut coarse heavy oxen were at 14s the 100lb. Steers were from £5 5s to £8 7s 6d ; cows, £45sto£515seach ; sheep plentiful; 1,400 sold were at lower values. Wethers were from 6s to 11s; ewes, os to 10s each. Lambs in full number; 550 sold were required, and brought from 7s to 10s each. Pigs fairly supplied ; 117 sold were mostly of coarse quality, and those were at lower values. The kindly bred and fatted pigs sold freely at late quotations. Loan and Mercantile Agency report— \fe offered a large catalogue of bides, fa, wool, etc., at our Tuesday's sale. Bite: Prices were firm. We sold prime stoat we, sid to 6^d ; heavy stout, 4fd to Sji; medium, 4d to 4|d ; light, 3£d to 4d; coif hides are in special demand, best selling at 3|d ; sloppy, 3|d to 3|d ; calf in full supply", sound selling at 5d to 6d ; small and scored, 4d to 4Jd'; kip, 3d to 3Jd.

Sheepskins: In better demand at a slight advance on last week's prices. We sold large longwools, os 3d to 6s 2d ; medium, 3s 6d to os; halfbreds, 2s 6d to 4s 9d j lambs, Is to Is 7d ; pelts, 10c! to Is. Wool: We sold fleece at ojd to 6|d ; pieces, 2|d to 4d: dead wool, 4d to 5(1; cotts, 4|d to 5Jd. Tallow : Medium is worth 11s 9d to 12s 6d per cwt. Rough fat, Id per lb. Hair: Horse hair meets ready sale at Is to Is 3d; cow tail, 9d to lOd. Bones are vorfch £3 10s to £3 12s 6d. Oats : Stocks held at present are _ fairly large, and with shipments arriving by sailers the market is easier. Present price, 2s Id, e.i.f. Maize: Shipments to hand and to arrive in a day or two are sufficient for this week's requirements, and the price remains the same as last week, viz., 23 on wharf. Chaff: The market still shows a weak tendency, and prime Southern is selling at £4 5s c.i.f., sacks in. Potatoes: It is almost impossible to make Bales of Southern. The new potatoes coming in very freely. Southern are selling at about £1 10s "to £2 per ton, with a ■weakening tendency. Locals, Id per lb.
