I.VVEsTIXG slocks had steady demand to-day on the Exchange. National Insurance changed hands at. ISs, and South British were wanted at 50s. Inquiries were also made for Northern Boot at 10s cum div, while all gas shares were wanted at recent (plot at ions. In mining stocks Talismans sold at Ills (id, and were still wanted at that price. Waihis were asked for at t'T I--.-' Od, and Crowns sit '255, and Mount Lyellsat £15 liMid. Grace Darling and I'ortsea shares also had steady inquiry. In Thames stocks Alburnia-s had firm buyers at 4s, and Moanafaiaris at ] Is, but May Queens seemed a little easier. In Coromandel stocks Bunker's Hill attracted most attention, free sales being made today at -2* 3d. Progress Castle Rock shar&s also linnet] a little in price, while Harbour Y'iews sold at 3d, owing to the proximity of the mine to the Royal Oak.
