PROPOSED ELECTRIC TRAMWAY.

TAURANGA, this day. J A CABLEGRAM was received by the Bay of ; Plenty "Times" on Saturday afternoon from Mr A. J. Vogan, author ot the Black Police," and known m connection with exploration in New Guinea, statingHiat lie had an interview with Mr R. J- Seddon, the New Zealand Premier, m Sydney that morning in connection with the proposed instruction of an electric tramway tween Tauranga and Rotorua. Mi V ogan published the full scheme some time ago in the Auckland STAR, in which hei stated that if he could get the necessary la grant his representatives in England would be prepared to find capital. In the ffiteiview Mr Seddon said he was favourable to the scheme and other *».^V ff^ as that there would be no difficulty as far as he laws of New Zealand were concerned Mr Vogan says the Premier is looking well, arid has had a good time.
