The a.s. Weabralia sailed for Auckland from Sydney, and is duo here on Monday morning.
The Tyser linar Hawke'a Bay leaves for Gisborne a a 10 a.m. to-morrow, to take in frezsn meat; for London.
The auxiliary schooner Waiapu is loading tor Gisborne aad Easß Soasb porba and will leave on Tuesday next).
Last evening the s.s. Upolo sailed for Tahiti and Rarabonga with passenger* and a large quantity of cargo,
The s.a. Onda arrived ab Wellington from Calcubba this morning, after a passage of 36 daya. She brings a larsre amount) of general cargo for this port, vrhich will come forward by the a.3. Rotokino, due here on Thursday next.
An order has been placed in Belfast for tho construction of a steamer of 40,000. tons. She will be 1,000 feeb long and 100 feet in the beam, her horae power Is to be 90.0C0, and she will have 30 boilera and 240 furnaces, requiring 1,500 tons of coal daily. Her guaranteed speed is 30 knobs (34 miles) par hour, and she will cross the Atlantic in four days. Accommodation wiil ba provided for 3..500 passengers, atid E-ha is expected to earn £40,000 in bhe rou-id trip. She wilt take two years to build, and the Company for which she ia being made inbendi to have two such vos.^e's running' at the time of bha-Paris Exhibition in 1900 a.d.
