Wellington were all out for '221. Tho principal scorers were :—S. Tucker, 15 ; Gardiner, 59 ; Blaeklock. 23 ; Lovers, 45 ; Upham, 9; K. Tucker, 41. Hawke's Bay have five wickets down for 156. • Lusk, 14; Bennolsb, 23 ; Ludbrook, not out, 63 ; Bruce, 20 ; Gore, 25, were the mosb serviceable to bbeir side. Napier, fchie day. With the score at 156 for five wickets, Hawke's Bay resumed their innings this ' morning, and all were dismiosed for 207, fourteen behind Wellington's firefc innings : —Ludbrook, b Upham, 68; Staite, nob oat, 27; Boale, b Upham, 0; Hughes, run mib, 0 ; Fannin, b Upham, 3 ; Cato, b Upha^j, 12 ; extraß, 15. Total, 207. Both teams were greatly inconvenionced by a strong westerly wind, which drove clouds of duab across the ground.
