OWHAROA G.M. COMPANY. The annual meeting of shareholders ia the above Company was held yesterday afternoon at Mr S. H. Matthews' office, when there was a largo attendance. Mr James Russell presided. Tho annual report of the directors was read. Ib gave details of the eyatemabic way in which the mine is being developed. Tho statement of accounts showed receipts as follows :-By calls, £1,730 13a Id ; from bullion, £23 8s 9d ; by crushing, £89 5s ; refund, £170 133 Id ; from National Bank, £1,099 8i lid ; total, £3,113 8a lOd. The disbursements were for' mine requisites, timber, and cartage, £381 19a Id ; travelling expenses, feeß, etc., £136 13s ; wages, contracts, £1,800 7a 5d - T general charges, £539 163 Id; planb. £254 13s 3d. Ine liabilities were £4.099 8a lid ; loss £6210a excess of assets over liabilibios. The assets were eeb down aa follows :—- Mine, £2,164 4a 7d ; developments, £1,405 2s 6d ; now planb, £254 13s 3d ; calla due, £337 18a 7d. The report and balanceshoeb were adopted. Mr T. Morrin waa re-elecbed . director, and Mr M. S. Leers re-appointed auditor. The mine manager, Mr W. Morgan, waa present at bho meeting, and gave encouraging newa regarding the prospects of the mine. The Owharoa Company will 6hortly merge into the Ohinemuri Syndicate Company, and already £4,400 is lying in the bank for tha development of the property. VICTORIA. Mr James Contte take charge of the Victoria mine on Monday. VICTOR. The annual meeting of shareholders wa*> called to-day at Mr H. Gilh'llan'a office, but ib was decided on the motion of Mr HShepherd, seconded by Mr Phillips, to adjourn until a future date, to be decidod after the arrival of Mr Seaver from London. HUANUI. The manager telegraphed last night:— «' Greab improvemenb in the low level leader. Prospects good," MAY QUEEN. Our Thames correspondent telegraphs : »• Works in hand in the May Queen mine a re without change. The general character o f the ore coming to hand from No. 4 and n orth-wesb lodos ia much the same in quality. Tho monthly cleaning up takes place 00 Monday." ALBURNIA. In reaponse to a request from London a alight extension of bho time for floating beyond the 6th of March was granted. NORTH STAR, An extraordinary meeting of shareholders in the above company waa held to-day at Air J. J. Macky's office, at which resolutions were passed authorising the directors to dispose of the property. HAURAKI NO. 2. The manager reported to-day that tho uhafb ia down six feet in splendid country. GOLDEN LINK. The results of assays made from ore out of a four-foot reef in the Golden Link mine, Kuaobunu, show an average value per ton of £3 10a lOd. PIGMY. Aba meeting of diroctora of the above Compauy, held yesterday, ib wa3 agreed to purchase tbo two adjoining licensed holdings known aa the Hauraki Queeu and the Lucky Hib, which will then make the Company's area 31 acres. A meeting of shareholders has been called to empower the directors to deal with a portion of the reserve shares. Scandinavian.—Meesrs A. and G. Price have completed their contract, and they have done bho work well, all tho machinery being new and well erected. I have had the babbery going, and ib works firab class, but I am sorry that thero is nob enough water to work even four head of stampers. The contractor ib making good progress with the water race, and expects to finish the work within a fortnight.
