THE DREAMER AGAIN.
A well known Aucklander who has re" gently taken up hia residence ab Coroman" del writes me:—About ten weeks before the Melbourne Cup was run I dreamb bhab j saw the race, and that the crowd on the ground were shouting Auraria. Then I «aw a few men receiving handfuls of notes and gold from the men working the tota.isator. At the time of the dream I am almost certain thab I did not know there existed such a mare aa Auraria. On inquiry I found there was, and I told quite a number of people my dream. Of course they laughed at me, and for my own part I did not pub a shilling on her. I very seldom beb. Bub another reason for my abstinence on this occasion was that last year I dreamb Lobbie was going to win the New Zealand Cup, md her getting only second place caused jfxe to drop some money. My correspondent »dds:—l told tbe yarn to a number of people in Auckland. I don'b wish any james mentioned, bub I give these as a juarantee bhab 1 told the story beforehand.
