Mr Casey, agent for the New Australian eeltkmeut, is appealing for funds to send nosreral families to Paraguay whose husbands have already gone there. These famiHea have suffered considerably through (;bo collapse, leaving them practically destitiite, and the organisation■■here is absolutely without funds.

The Governor has received a communication from the British Legation in Bnenos Ayiaa notifying that twenty families in the New Australia cobblement there are deßtifcttfe. The letter says that if people are tifiorded means to return to Australia, it will obviate much suifering, especially amongst) women and children.
