A good start senb Epinicion, Escapade, and Emm Pasha away in the van, attended by Thespian, Ballater, and E.K., with Magnus last. Emm Pasha showed the way past bhe stand and to the mile post, followed by Thespian, Dalmeny and Tribon. Ab bhe end of another furlong Thespian. Dalmeny, and Triton were clustered just in advance of Roundaboub, Royal Rose, Emm Pasha, and Escapade. As they sailed pasb bhefive-furlongposbßoundabout broke down badly, and losing his place interfered with Ballater. Tribon wenb inbo second place ab the half-mile posb. bub only for a few sbrides, as the favourite soon cub him down and book up his posibion ab bhe fronb, followed by Escapade, Ballater, Royal Rose, E.K., and Magnus. From thia out Emm Pasha was nob interfered with, and he won comforbably by tjvo lengths from Magnus, who came vory fasb ab the finish, and beab Royal Rose by half a lengbh for second place. Epinicion was fourth, followed by E.R., Ballaber, Tribon, Lustre, Thespian, and Gil Bias with Ebony and Dalmeny laab. Time, 2min 25_sec.
