IMPORTANT PROPOSALS.
Melbourne, this day. It is understood that the Government programme for submission to Parliament nexb session will contain proposals to reduce the railway freights on agricultural produce, also for the reduction of the prohibitive customs duties based on the recommendations contained in the report of the Tariff Committee, and abolition of the stock tax except on cattle.
