Ab bbc wool sales, eompebibion is fair, and prices show no alteration. Buyers are hopeful that tb.e duty on the import of wool into the United States will soon be reiaoved* . . _. . The total quantity of wool catalogued up bo dabe is 60,400 bales, of which 56,300 bales are sold. Tallow ia unchanged. Tbe English wheab market is dull, the Continental inactive, and tho American declining. A cargo of South Ausbralian wheab has been sold ab 23s 6d. Bubter is unchanged. New Zealand cheese: White, 54b to 58s ; coloured, 04s bo 595.
