The expense rate bias fallen during the last three years, and fche new business was greater during 18Gl3 than for some years, tho amount being )& little over £740,000. The neb increase of Inew business over discontinuances shows h marked advance upon 1892, the ratio of expenses of management shows a decrease oflone and a-half per cent. \
