A SATISFACTORY STATEMENT.

London, November 22. At a meeting of the shareholders of the London Bank of Australia, Sir JF. Garrick announced thab during bhe suspension of the institution, trust accounts amounting to about <E600,000 were opened, and the bulk of them had been transferred to new Bank depositors. He said be had applied for about £170,000 worth of preference shares, and old shareholders had taken 48,000 new ordinary shares. The calls had almost all been paid, large sums having been received in anticipation of calls.
