The newly-formed Ponsonby Bowling Club have commenced erecting tho pavilion on the Club's ground. It has been decided to postpone the opaoing of the green until Saturday, 9th December. By thi3 time the pavilion will be completed, and the fixture will nob interfere with the I'onsonbj regatta. The ordinary meeting of the Mcunt Eden Road Board was held on Monday evening last in the Board's Office, Mount Eden Road. The members present were Messrs W, K. Cooper (chairman), H. Hii'Sb, J. Douglas and T. Hanson. Tho bank balances were stated to bo as follows: — General account, debtor, £113 19? Id; loan rate account, creditor, £143 93 4d ; water revenue account, creditor, £152 17s 9d. Current accounts were passed for payment amounting to £186 14s 3d, and the collector reported £3d;j 2a Id collected since last report. Tho Board resolved to contribute to tho cost, of forming a road afc VVoodville connecting with Eden Terrace, and also gave consideration to the proposed roads in the plans submifited by Mr McGarry and Mr Abbott, I who intend cutting up their properties into building allotments.
