COMPLIMENTARY CONCERT.

The complimentary concerb to the popular tenor singer and concert manager, Mr John Fuller, which took place in the City Hall last evening, was in every way a great success. The house was crowded in every part—stalls, pit and circle—by hundreds of people long before the concerb commenced, and many were unable to gain admittance. Tho immense attendance certainly must have been very gratifying to Mr Fuller. The concert programme was an enjoyable and varied one, and almost every item was encored. The quintette orchestra, led by Mr A. R. Hunter, played some excellent instrumental selections. Mr Fuller received an enthusiastic reception, and was encored twice for his song, •• Tho Minstrel Boy," and also received a recall for "My Pretty Jane," his encore Bong being the favourite " Goraldine." Mr Fuller and Miss Featon in the dueb "In tho Dusk of the Twilight " were also successful, and were encored, and in the dueb " Excelsior" Mr Fuller and Mr W. H. Stebbing were heard to great advantage. Mr Stebbing sang "True Till Death " and "The Camp Fire." and Mrs Florence Anderson was successful in her song "Waiting." Miss Sara MoCormick contributed the song "The Better Land," and Miss Kabie Fitzpabrick eang very pleasingly "The Lonely Harp," for which ehe was deservedly encored. Miss Birdie Butler sang " Daddy." Recitations were given by little Miss Olive Stokes and by Mr Alex. Smith. Miss Clarice Brabazon played the acopmpanimet»ta and two pianoforte solos moeb capably Towards the close of the concerb, Mr Fuller thanked those who had given their services at the concert, and announced that hie next, oonoert would be Riven on Wednesday evening next in St. James's Hall. ' '
