"ERMINIE" AT THE OPERA HOUSE.
Yestbkday evening a large section of ths holiday makers brought the day to a cloao in the Opera House, where the comic opera of " Erminie " was produced for the second time. The comicalities of the piece, the lively music and songs, and the pretty staging Kept the audience well amused and frequent applause was the order of the evening. To-night, the last occasion on which the company will be seen in Auckland, for they leave for Sydney to-morrow —Slaughter's opera, " An Adamless Eden, or Women's Franchise," which is an entirely new piece to Aucklanders, will be given. The name suggests an appropriateness to the present hour when the ladies are about to exercise for the first time their new privilege. In addition bo the opera theatre-goers will renew their acquaintance with the funniest scenes of that reckless extravaganza " Aladdin up to Date," that " terrible ditty " " Ta-ra-ra-boom-de-ay," and other songs and ballets.
