THAMES DRAINAGE BOARD.
This morning the usual bueinesß meeting of the Thames Drainage Board was held in the New Zealand insurance Buildings. There were present: Messrs G. S. Kissling (Chairman), Porter, Wilson, Spratt, Dickey, Comer, McGovern, Paltridge, Clarke. The manager of works'report waa read and approved of. The following statement of accounts was submitted:—Receipts, £739 7s 6d ; expenditure, £196 10s 2d ; liabilities, £369 14s 2d ; aseeta, £904 8s lOd. Subsequently a meeting of the electors of the Thames drainage area was held at the office of Mr D. G. Macdonnell, there being ' present:—Messrs.Kissling (for Saxon Company), J. F. Clark (for Kuranui, No. 3), J. J. Macky (for Victoria G.M. Company), F. A. White (for Hazelbank, New Moanataiari, New Manukau, and Waiotahi), R. McDonald Scott (for Cambria and May Queen), and R, Comer (for Kuranui No. 2). It was resolved, "That this meeting of the ral opay era of the Thames drainage area, having considered the question of bringing the Thames Drainage Board within tho operations of tho regulations of Local Elections Act, 1876, and tho amendment thereof, agree that it is desirable that the necessary stops to obtain the proclamation of the Governor in that behalf be taken without delay."
